Since joining Smith Price in 1992, John has concentrated on in-town retail agency, shopping centre lettings, asset management and development work nationwide. This role has also involved high street and shopping centre acquisition and disposal work, including the role of lead letting agent on a number of high profile shopping centres. John quickly built a reputation as a proactive deal maker and became a Partner (in the Firm) in 1995.
Smith Price place great emphasis on developing close relationships as property advisers to their clients. This philosophy has lead to John being appointed as retained agent for a number of retailers including Leightons Opticians and Brighthouse. Leightons are a long established regional multiple optics group who, since his involvement, have grown from 21 to almost 50 stores. John also carries out regular work on behalf of C&J Clark, HBOS, Austin Reed and Wilkinsons as well as a range of institutional landlords and property companies including AXA REIM, Aberdeen Property Investors and Freshwater.
