Mike heads the Landlord and Tenant department at Smith Price, where he advises a large number of institutions, pension funds, property companies and both multiple and private retailers, both in and out of town.
Mike has considerable specialist retail experience, frequently being asked to act as an Expert Witness in relation to rent review disputes and lease renewals. In addition to dealing with unit shops along the high street or in shopping centres, he is also experienced in dealing with large in-town variety stores and out-of-town retail units and supermarkets. As a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he regularly accepts appointments from the President of the RICS to act as an Independent Expert to determine rental disputes.
