Smith Price have advised Swedish fashion retailer giant Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) in the acquisition of three leases from Woolworths. The total retail space acquired was some 150,000 sq ft including the 40,000 sq ft store in the Whitgift Centre, Croydon (pictured), as well as high street units in Brighton and Leamington Spa.

 

The deal reflects the desire of H&M, who currently operate more than 1,700 stores across 33 countries, to continue their expansion within the UK despite tougher trading conditions.
