ShakeAway, the original specialist milkshake retailer, have acquired five new stores, all of which will be open for trade in summer 2008. The stores include Lakeside Shopping Centre, Plymouth (Cornwall Street) and Festival Place, Basingstoke, The Dolphin Centre (Poole) and Wells Place in Eastleigh.

ShakeAway opened their first branch in Bournemouth in 1999 and now trade from 16 branches including Oxford, Kingston and Winchester. The business offers up to 150 milkshake flavours and have an arrangement with the leading confectionary brands including Nestlé, Cadbury’s and Haribo to create shakes around their well known products.  An expansion programme is in place through use of franchising and all five stores have opened via franchisees - further information is available at www.shakeaway.com.

ShakeAway Ltd, who are represented by Smith Price, are looking to continue opening new stores and have set an ambitious target for 20 UK stores to be open and trading by Christmas 2008. In addition to the UK expansion, ShakeAway are now open in Melbourne, Australia with Auckland, New Zealand!
