H&M has continued its expansion into the UK market, having opened two new stores in Kingston Upon Thames (pictured) and Ipswich. The stores were acquired by John Loveday of Smith Price, on behalf of the Swedish retailer, and comprise 17,000 sq ft and 22,000 sq ft of prime retail space respectively. Both stores have already begun trading for the Spring season. The transactions reflect the good relationship that Smith Price enjoys with H&M, which is further highlighted by the more recent acquisition of 18,000 sq ft of retail space in the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Basildon. The store occupies one of the most prominent pitches in the scheme, owned by British Land, and is currently undergoing refurbishment and refitting before it opens later in the year. |
